In November 2014, CBC Real Estate Group completed a new distribution facility for international distribution and outsourcing group, Bunzl Distribution Midcentral, Inc. CBC served as Development Manager for the build-to-suit facility, providing lease negotiations, development financing and Owner’s Representative Services on behalf of Skyport Development Partners, LLC.
The 157,000 square-foot warehouse, located at 7503 NW 106th Terrace in Kansas City, Mo., is utilized to distribute Bunzl products to supermarkets, convenience stores and other retailers. Situated on 13 acres in Platte County and with 30 single-load docks to accommodate shipping and receiving needs, the new warehouse enables Bunzl to increase distribution efficiency and expand inventory necessary to serve clients throughout the Midwest.
Construction began in October 2013 and was completed a year later. Assisting CBC as Construction Manager was Meyer Brothers Building Company. Davidson Architecture provided design and engineering services.
For this project, The Bunzl and CBC team was recognized by the Platte County Economic Development Council with a 2014 Business Excellence Award.
